Yarn Stash

Hello all I have been busy with my crocheting for Christmas but that is another blog.
Today I was sorting out my yarn looking for colour which was not in the stash I have 6 storage containers full of yarn.

these are some of the full balls.

And here just some of the balls that could not fit on the couch.

I have been told by my partner that I was not allowed to buy any more yarn.

 These two tubs are full of my scrap yarn. I have another tube beside my bed it is full of yarn I am useing to make my granny square blanket.

This is the tube that stays beside my bed I try to do a square a night.

 

Crochet Hook Holding

The other day on the train going to the city I was crocheting like I always do and this lady came up to me and told me I am crocheting all wrong. It was not how I crochet but the way i hold my hook I was told I should hold in the pencil hold.

I know there is no right or wrong way to hold my hook but I hold in the knife hold.

But it got me think why I hold the hook the way I do after few days thinking I worked out why I can not do the pencil hold I am left handed. so I can't hold the hook that way in my right hand. I can use the pencil hold in my left hand but crocheting with my left hand feels really strange.

How do you hold your crochet hook.

Another Yarn Question

I asked yesterday about red heart yarn and thank you for all you feed back but I forgot to ask if you all what yarn would you use over red heart yarn.

Hello all I just have a quick question I want to try red heart yarn but before I order some from the states I want to know what it is like to work with any sugestions on what I should get. I to use for amigurumi so please I would love here what you all think.

Job Hunting

I have not been crocheting much lately I have been really busy with looking for a new job since I was let go from my last job few mouths ago. I did not think it be this hard last 5 or 6 jobs came really easy. Fingers crossed job will come soon I really need the money for yarn and everything else. Also since the weather warmed up I have been spending a lot of time fixing up the garden. But I have been doing a granny square every few nights when the house work has been done and tea has been cooked.
